Larsen & Toubro (L&T), in collaboration with MBDA Missile Systems, has established a state-of-the-art missile systems facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, further strengthening India’s defense manufacturing capabilities. The joint venture, known as L&T MBDA Missile Systems Ltd, focuses on producing critical missile components and systems for domestic and export markets, aligning with India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative to promote self-reliance in defense production.
The facility is equipped to manufacture a wide range of missile systems, including air-to-air, surface-to-air, and anti-ship missiles. It also supports the integration of advanced missile technologies such as propulsion systems, guidance systems, and warheads. The Coimbatore unit plays a pivotal role in the supply chain for MBDA’s globally renowned missiles while ensuring compliance with stringent quality and performance standards.
